How to Change Network Password

Network security and your personal privacy are very important to the College.  You should change your password regularly to protect the network as well as to ensure your privacy.  You may change it at the Password Station or use the instructions below to change your network password from a Windows computer on-campus.

  • Press the ‘Ctrl-Alt’Delete’ buttons simultaneously and release.  When the ‘Windows Security’ dialog box appears, left-click on the ‘Change Password…’ button.
  • Ensure your ‘User Name:’ and ‘Log on to:’ (domain name) are correct.  Then enter your ‘Old Password :’ (current password), then your ‘New password:’, finally, re-enter your new password in the ‘Confirm New:’ text box and left-click on the ‘OK’ button.
  • Once the dialog box that says ‘Password has been changed’ appears, left-click on the ‘OK’ button.
  • Left-click on the ‘Cancel’ button to exit the ‘Windows Security’ dialog box and return to your desktop.
