Overview

Insurance professionals support the businesses and households with risk management and insurance needs. There are many reasons to consider a career in insurance including:

  • Significant career choices across a broad spectrum of jobs

Between 2019 and 2029, employment of various sectors of the insurance industry is projected to grow faster than the average of all occupations.  The demand for sales agents is anticipated to grow where the role of independent sales agents is expected to expand.  Valued skills include, Knowledge of the industry, an understanding of financial products, awareness of customer-service skills, and strong sales ability.
