Student Prepared Lunch & Dinner

The Sage Student Bistro operates as a customer-focused classroom providing our students an opportunity to refine their culinary, bakery, service and supervisory skills in a setting where the element of time is as important as the food and service. Because this is a class, the Bistro is open when the students are in session. A standard menu is offered, as well as weekly, student designed prix fixe specials during dinner. Things to know:

  • Required health precautions at the Sage Student Bistro are guided by MCC policy and may change over time...
  • Reservations are available and recommended for both lunch and dinner. Walk-ins will be served as possible. Reservations for groups up to 6 persons are available through or the widget below. Groups larger than 6 should contact us for reservations.


Static Menus (Available all quarter)

STUDENT Specials & Prix Fixe Menus

  • Lunch—Students in the Casual Dining course design and prepare sandwich specials as a part of their course work. The student sandwich specials begin April 6th.
  • Dinner—Students in our Fine Dining and Plated Desserts courses design and prepare a five-course prix fixe menu as a part if their course work.
  • Student Prix Fixe Schedule with featured American Sages:
    • Don Barber - April 17-20
    • Alice Waters - April 24-27
    • Thomas Keller - May 1-4
    • Colby & Megan Garrelts - May 8-11 .

Wine Service

The Sage Student Bistro serves wine and beer at dinner. We maintain a concise but thoughtful beverage list featuring red and white wines, as well as an assortment of local and imported beers. If you have a special bottle you would like to enjoy in our restaurant, corking service is available for just $10 per 750 ml bottle.


During lunch service, guests may park in college lots as available. Reserved parking for bistro guests is available in the lot to the north of Building 22.

Lunch: 11 a.m.–1 p.m. (last seating at 1 p.m.)
Dinner: 6–8 p.m. (last seating at 8 p.m.)

Sage Student Bistro is located at the Pegler Center for the Institute for the Culinary Arts at 32nd Street and Sorensen Parkway, on the south end of the Metropolitan Community College Fort Omaha Campus.
