MCC Academy for Leadership
Invest in yourself by applying to the MCC Academy for Leadership. The MCC Academy for Leadership provides participants with the knowledge, skills and tools to effectively cultivate individual leadership abilities needed to successfully serve MCC and the community with distinction. Submit applications from Nov. 21-Dec. 1 to Marilyn Cotten, Coordinator, Training & Development, FOC-Bldg 4.

Welcome to the Training & Development website. This program is designed to contribute to the professional growth and development of MCC employees by providing educational services and opportunities through workshops, group activities and online resources. Please bookmark this page and return to it often to stay up-to-date on Training & Development opportunities. Workshops are also posted in the Inside Story and are periodically emailed to you.

After obtaining approval from your supervisor to attend a Training & Development event, please register for the workshop that interests you. No need to complete a tuition remission form. Following the enrollment process assists in:

Tracking the number of participants
Providing a sufficient number of hand-out materials
Providing you with a progress report (record) of workshops you've attended. This record can be beneficial as part of the faculty portfolio or your annual performance appraisal.

Objectives of Training & Development:

Develop programs and services that meet the job-related training and development needs of employees
Coordinate orientation and technology training for new employees
Provide opportunities to update job knowledge and/or skills in specialty areas
Respond to specific requests from employees or supervisors to provide specialized training when necessary
Support College mission and initiatives
