ENROLLING IN AE/GED CLASSES
- Students under 19 years of age must have "Permission to Enroll" from Nebraska Department of Education and MCC before they can register for class.
- Permission to enroll packets are available at the Fort Omaha Campus, Bldg 9, Room 101 or by calling (402) 457-2312.
ENROLLING IN AE/GED IS A TWO PART PROCESS.
Step 1
- The student will come to the Fort Omaha Campus at 30th and Fort Street, Building 9, Room 101 to receive a student number. The student must bring a valid Nebraska ID. The student will then schedule the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE) placement exams and orientation.
- The TABE exams are scheduled in an all day session or two 3 hour evening sessions. All placement testing and orientation sessions are held at the Fort Omaha Campus, Building 9, Room 102. Attendance for scheduled testing times is mandatory. Students who do not complete the TABE sessions will not be enrolled into classes.
Step 2
- After completing the testing and orientation sessions, the student will receive placement information from AE/GED staff by phone.
The student will be given options of classes to choose from according to placement test results. Once the student has selected the class they wish to attend, the student will be registered into class. Class locations or times are not guaranteed in any quarter.
Please call 402-457-2312 for more information or if you have
