- Students UNDER 19 years of age MUST have "Permission to Enroll" from Nebraska Department of Education and MCC.
- Permission to enroll packets are available at the Fort Omaha Campus, Bldg 9, room 101 or by calling (402) 457-2312
STEP 1-
Come to Fort Omaha Campus Bldg # 9 Room 101 to get a student ID number assigned to register for classes. Students under 19 years of age will need to complete permission to enroll packets and return them to the office before they can register for classes. ID will be checked the first day of class and students will not be enrolled into class if permission to enroll packets are not completed.
STEP 2 -
Call central registration at (402) 457-5231 to officially register for classes during the three full weeks prior to the quarter. Choose the class and location that you would like to attend and upon registering you will need to use the course and section information below for that class.

Attendance is mandatory the first two days of the quarter to become fully registered into classes; failure to attend both days will cause the student to be disenrolled from class.
- Intake and TAbe are offered four times a year.
- Intake/TABE will be done the first two days of class
- Both sessions must be completed at the same location and time.
- Intake/TABE is held at the Elkhorn Valley, Fort Omaha and South Omaha Campuses.

- 16, 17, 18 year olds needs special permission to take the GED Examination.
- All students must come to the ABE Office to get registered and bring a picture ID in order to start with official GED testing.
- Each student must attend a GED testing Orientation prior to testing.
- GED Test Orientation and GED Tests are scheduled by appointment only.
- All official GED testing is held at the Fort Omaha Campus only. Students must have a waiver from their instructor prior to scheduling tests.

TESTING FEES: 16 and 17 year old $40.00 (non-refundable)
18 years and above $45.00 (non-refundable)
The testing fee has been increased to $50.00 for 16 and 17 year olds and $55.00 for 18 year olds and older. These charges will be efective with the summer quarter.
All testing, no show and retest fees should be paid at Fort Omaha Campus, Bldg. 10, Students Services 24 hours in advance of test. Bring your receipt and picture ID to Building 9, Room 103 and give to examiner. To cancel or reschedule a GED test or Orientation session, call 457-2539. Examinees failing to call will be charge a $10.00 no show fee.
The original testing fee is good for one year. After one year from the first test you will be charged $10 per test to complete the balance of testing.
Volunteers are recruited and welcomed from the Community to assist the teaching staff and students in ABE and non-credit ESL . ABE and ESL students need the help and support of Community citizens who are willing to give their time and talents to teach basic academic skills.
