Ocander Elected to National Network of Health Programs

Stacey Ocander MCC's Dean of Health and Public Services, Stacey Ocander, will promote innovation among college health programs nationally as a representative of the National Network of Health Career Programs in Two-Year Colleges (NN2).

Ocander was elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of Directors for NN2, an organization that brings together health education leaders from across the country. As chairwoman of the advocacy committee, she will promote college collaboration, develop new leaders and work with professional communities to address healthcare challenges.

"Community colleges play a critical role in providing cutting-edge healthcare training that strengthens local communities," Ocander said. "By promoting collaborative partnerships among community colleges, we will be able to better address healthcare challenges in our communities while providing more students with the knowledge and technical skills they need to succeed."

Ocander was appointed MCC's Dean of Health and Public Services in 2006.
