Going Back to Schoolas a Full-time Mom

Achievements: As a business transfer student from
MCC, Stover received a full-tuition Archway Scholarship to attend
Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Robyn Stover used to drive by MCC's Elkhorn Valley Campus and
think about taking classes. Although she had plenty of work
experience, she found her opportunities for advancement were limited
at her company—she lacked a college degree. When she became a
full-time mother of two, she decided it was time to go back to
school. MCC was the logical choice.
"I was impressed with the instructors," she said. "I liked the
smaller classroom setting and the personable faculty."
Stover graduated from MCC with an Associate Degree in General
Studies. She wanted to continue her education and was drawn to
Nebraska Wesleyan University's (NWU) Omaha program. Through MCC's
partnership with NWU, Stover received a full-tuition Archway
scholarship to pursue a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
NWU also offers an automatic $1,000 Bridge scholarship when MCC
graduates enter a bachelor's degree program.
"The smaller atmosphere makes for an easy transition into the
program. I love the instructors because they apply their jobs to the
classroom—it makes understanding the material so much easier,"
With another degree under her belt, Stover will have the
credentials she needs to move forward in her career. On the way, she
