MCC is pleased to announce the appointment of William K. Owen as the new associate vice president for
academic affairs. He assumed his new responsibilities on Dec. 1. Owen will report to Dave Ho, vice
president for academic affairs.
As associate vice president for academic affairs, Owen will provide leadership in the areas of
external relations with employers and community members and internally in the areas of articulation,
assessment, facilities master planning and budget preparation and monitoring for Academic Affairs.
Owen was previously the Dean of Applied Technology for MCC. His experience includes leading
community and industry partnerships that resulted in the opening of the Applied Technology Center,
104th and State streets, and the Washington County Technology Center, Hwy 30 and Hwy 75, Blair, Neb.;
spearheading industry training agreements with Lozier, Valmont, Hormel and OPPD and teaching
technical curriculum in electrical, manufacturing, and industrial controls.
"I am pleased that someone with Bill's great perspective, leadership and experience in education
administration will be filling this critical position," said Ho.

address the changing needs of students and employers," said Owen.
