MCC’s noncredit courses help tackle
New Year’s resolutions
This year, achieve your goals with Continuing Education classes
With the beginning of a new year, many people take time to reflect back and make goals or resolutions for the coming year. This might include improving health with exercise, learning a new skill, pursuing a hobby or checking off an item on the to-do list. MCC offers a wide variety of Continuing Education classes to help accomplish almost every New Year’s resolution.
Cooking and meal planning
Eating out is fun but can be expensive and may be a bigger cost when it comes to calorie content. If eating at home is one of your resolutions, perhaps you would be interested in an Italian, Thai, sushi or specialty pizza cooking class.
Or learn about meal planning and how to get low-fat, quick meals on your table.
Health and wellness
Let’s face it, after the holidays, exercise is generally on everyone’s list. Take a yoga, core strength, water aerobics or dance class. Or learn meditation and stress-relieving methods to help unwind after the busy holiday season.
It is winter, but gardening season is right around the corner. Learn about mushroom and vegetable gardening or start working on developing compost for spring planting.
Online classes in a variety of topics
If you are worried about the weather or have a challenging work schedule, consider taking an online class this winter. Have you always wanted to learn a language, play the guitar, explore medical coding or learn the latest software? You are in luck! MCC offers more than 100 noncredit online classes.
Did you know having a hobby actually relieves stress? MCC offers a wide variety of courses for hobbies, including photography, knitting, quilting, sewing, ceramics, drawing, painting, flower arranging and many others.
Have you been putting off those home projects? Learn plumbing, wiring or dry walling techniques for your home and mark those projects off your to-do list!
Are you intimidated by computers or do you need help with your iPad or iPhone? Is there a certain program you would like to learn? MCC offers a multitude of computer classes to help.
