This course provides students with an overview of the healthcare field. Topics include evolution of healthcare, healthcare settings, professions, accreditation and regulation, management principles, health information systems, and healthcare data management. It addresses current issues in healthcare in order to enrich students' understanding and breadth of knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system.
