The Shielded Metal Arc Welding Specialist Diploma is designed for students wishing to concentrate their studies on the shieldedmetal arc welding process, procedures, and techniques. Students learn to read prints and interpret welding symbols; safely and skillfully use oxyfuel, plasma, and air carbon arc cutting processes; safely and skillfully use shielded-metal arc welding (stick) equipment; and produce sound fillet and groove welds in steel plate and pipe using E6010 and E7018 electrodes.
Requirements for SMAW Diploma - 24.0 Credit Hrs.
