Candied walnuts

½ c. water
1 c. sugar
1 c. walnut, halves and pieces

 

Mix water and sugar together in a non-stick pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium.

Once the mixture is syrupy, add the walnuts and cook until the walnuts are completely caramelized and candied.

Separate the walnut pieces and let them rest on a sheet pan covered in parchment until they are not sticky anymore.
