The Internet and its accompanying networking
technologies have made our world increasingly interconnected,
transforming the way we work, learn, communicate and do business.
Broadband connections, Voice over Internet Protocol or (VoIP), unified messaging
and other network types are becoming more integrated.
As networks become integrated they become more complicated, and they require upgraded
hardware technologies to handle additional network traffic. With more than 80 percent of
Internet data traffic traveling across Cisco equipment, Cisco Systems is regarded
as the leader in network technology.
You can prepare for an exciting career integrating networks using industry-leading
technology. Metro's Cisco Networking Academy® program gives you the technical
knowledge needed to obtain Cisco's nationally recognized computer-networking
certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate™ (CCNA™) and Cisco
Certified Network Professional™ (CCNP™).
CCNA certification indicates basic knowledge of networking. It prepares you to
become a help desk engineer, field technician, level 1 system engineer or integrator.
CCNP certification indicates advanced knowledge of networks. As a CCNP, you can work
as network administrator, level 2 support engineer, level 2 systems engineer, network
technician or deployment engineer.
