General Admission Requirements

Metropolitan Community College does not require a formal application or application fee for admission or registration.

Any person may be admitted to the College who:

• has a high school diploma or equivalent
• is at least 18 years of age
• can benefit from a program of study

Unless specifically identified, every course, or course section shall be open to enrollment and participation by any person who meets course prerequisites. Admission to the College, however, does not mean admission to all courses or programs. The student may be required to take preparatory classes prior to entering MCC classes. Although the American College Testing (ACT) placement test is not required, if a student has taken the ACT within the last two years, he/she may request that ACT forward scores to the Records Office, PO Box 3777, Omaha, NE 68103.

Admission of International Students

Matriculation

Matriculation is a process in which students are provided the opportunity for realizing their educational goals through admission, orientation, assessment, counseling, advisement, program and course planning, and follow-up services.
