Interested in more information about Metropolitan Community College? No matter what your role—prospective student,
parent, family, friend, counselor, community member—, below are some easy links to guide you to the information you
need quickly.
I want to enroll. What are my next steps?
- Complete MCC's online new student orientation.
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student
Aid. Be sure to use MCC's school code (004432). Even if you do not think you qualify
for federal grants or loans, it is important to fill out the FAFSA; MCC has an internal scholarship system that
requires this form also, and not all of the scholarships are need based. You could be eligible for those, and it is
a good idea to plan ahead.
- Assemble your academic information. Gather a copy of your high school transcript, your ACT/SAT
scores if you took them, your COMPASS scores if you took them within the last two years and any unofficial
transcripts from other colleges/universities you may have earned credit at in the past.
- Schedule an appointment for COMPASS testing (if you have not completed a COMPASS within the last
two years). MCC offers testing services at many
locations and at various times.
- Schedule an advising appointment. You can set up an appointment at any Student Services office
or by calling 402-457-2400.
- Meet with an advisor and create your educational plan.
- Get the next steps to enrolling and joining the MCC family.
I'm not sure if I want to attend, but I do want more information.

online educational opportunities,
a selection of colleges and universities MCC's courses transfer to and and so much more, all with a click of your mouse.
Next, whether you are positive you want to attend or are still just thinking about it, take a few minutes to complete our easy My Profile form. This is the first step in contacting MCC about your interest in the College in general as well as any more specific interests (programs, career opportunities) you may have. My Profile provides MCC with some specific information about you to help us get you where you need to go.
Think about scheduling a visit. Whether it is as an individual or a group, MCC welcomes visitors to come see our locations. Find out about MCC's tour options and then
complete the online form to sign up for a tour. We can't wait to meet you!
