Candidates for Vice President of Academic Affairs Visit MCC Campuses
Don't miss the opportunity to be involved in the recruitment process for filling the Vice President of Academic Affairs position. If you were unable to attend the campus forums this week to hear and visit with the candidates, you can still participate by viewing the videotaped interviews.
Three candidates for the position (Dr. Alda Preston, Dr. Paul Gasparro and Dr. Beatriz Espinoza) were on campus this week to participate in various activities, including screening committee interviews, campus tours and open forums. The schedule for the campus forums, the candidates' resumes and cover letters and the screening committee interviews are posted online.
If you attend the forums and/or view the interviews, be sure to provide your comments concerning your impressions of the candidates. Your comments can be submitted using the input form (paper copy) provided at the end of the campus forum or online.
You are encouraged to get involved in this important process. If you have questions about the process, feel free to contact Maureen Moeglin, Associate Vice President of Human Resources at 457-2236.
AIM College Bound Club to Experience MCC Education Next Week
Thirty high school students from the AIM Institute's College Bound Club will spend four days next week on MCC campuses learning through hands-on activities (lead by MCC faculty) about different programs, including allied health, commercial truck driving, entrepreneurship, theatre, electrical technology, graphics, audio/video and culinary arts. The students will be at the South Omaha Campus on June 16, at the Elkhorn Valley Campus and Applied Technology Center on June 17 and at the Fort Omaha Campus June 18 and 19. The week culminates with a banquet honoring the students' parents and participating faculty. This is the second year for the MCC Education Experience.
