Michaela Krug's winning design for the Council Bluff's First Night event was unveiled Thursday at a press conference at Council Bluff's City Hall. Krug's design was selected from five entries ."It was a very hard decision. Each of the entries embodied the idea and feel of the event," the review committee said. Krug's design, including the new pedestrian bridge, "invites residents from both Council Bluffs and Omaha to the celebration, and the bright, vibrant colors depict the anticipation and excitement building up to the First Night event." Finalists were invited to exhibit their work during the First Night celebration. Krug, a graphic designer at MCC, is very excited and honored to be selected. "My goal in creating this logo was to incorporate the 2009 theme of ‘Connections.' I chose to include the Bayliss Park fountain and the pedestrian bridge in the background. I hope to see everyone at this year's First Night celebration!" she said. |
