US Hispanic Leadership Institute Conference

Since 1996 MCC has sponsored student participation at the US Hispanic Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL.  The US Hispanic Leadership Conference has become the nation's premier Hispanic Conference. The 1999 conference is expected to attract over 8,000 registered participants representing hundreds of cities in nearly 40 states and approximately 1,000 local, state and national groups and organizations. http://www.ushli.org/index.php

Mission Statement
USHLI is a Chicago-based national nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization that promotes education, civic participation, and leadership development for Latinos and other similarly disenfranchised groups. USHLI is a member of the Board of Directors of HACR, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility, and NHLA, the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda.

The mission of the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) is to fulfill the promises and principles of democracy by empowering minorities and similarly disenfranchised groups and by maximizing civic awareness and participation in the electoral process.
