Do You Want to take a class At MCC but have an I-20 from another institution?
To enroll in MCC classes, please do the following:
- Request a letter from your home school stating that you will remain on your home school's I-20.
UNO F-1 students must provide this letter. F-1 students from other institutions that are having difficulty obtaining letters may contact Naomi Greelis-Mattos at nmgm@mccneb.edu.
- You will need to show an academic advisor your transcripts (unofficial or official).
If you do not have English Composition I with a C or higher on your transcript, then you will need to take the ESL COMPASS to determine your course placement. F-1 students at other institutions who are from Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Common Wealth Caribbean, Ireland, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom are exempt from the ESL COMPASS and may proceed to take the COMPASS. All other students who have successfully completed English Composition I will need to discuss any additionally testing with an academic advisor.
- Once registered, give the letter to the academic advisor and s/he will send it to MCC's International Student Services along with a copy of your registration.
If you have questions, please email Naomi M. Greelis-Mattos at nmgm@mccneb.edu
