Wells Fargo Donates Funds for Student Scholarships
Wells Fargo Bank of Omaha recently donated $5,000 to the Metro Community College Foundation for student scholarships. The funds will be awarded to 10 Metro students.
In order to qualify for the scholarships, candidates must meet these criteria:
- The student must be currently enrolled as a full-time student;
- The student must demonstrate financial need;
- The student may be a first time or returning student;
- Returning students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher; and,
- The student may be pursuing either a certificate or an associate’s degree.
Dave Kramer, president for Wells Fargo in Omaha, said this about the donation: “Wells Fargo has a long-standing dedication to enhancing the quality of life in our community, and the foundation of a community is education. We are proud to partner with Metropolitan Community College as they continue their mission of educating tomorrow’s leaders.”
MCC Foundation Executive Director Bud Synhorst thanked the company for its continuing support.
“We are pleased to have Wells Fargo provide scholarships for our students at Metro,” Synhorst said. “The company is a long-time supporter of the College and continues to help deserving students meet their educational goals.”
