Our dedicated IBM iSeries lab, located at Fort Omaha campus, provides students access to a IBM iSeries (AS/400). This IBM midrange computer system, designed mainly for business applications, is inexpensive but has the capabilities of the much larger mainframe computer. It can read RPG, JAVA, COBOL, and other web languages.
The networking lab at Sarpy Center offers practice in configuring, installing, testing, and resolving problems related to computer networks. These type of skills will help students assist a System Administrator with the setup and maintenance of the network using hardware and software.
The visual technologies labs, located at Elkhorn Valley campus and Fort Omaha campus, provide computers set up for working with graphics, layout, audio and video production, and 3-D animation. The Graphic Communication Art and Design program teaches cutting-edge technical skills to effectively communicate ideas visually through print and Web media.
Staff are available to assist students in these specialized areas during designated times.
