Enrollment Process For New Students
Non-credit ESL is intended for literacy level, non-English speaking students. The classes focus on basic English and survival English skills. Students who can already communicate in English should consider continuing to improve their English speaking and writing skills in credit ESLX classes.
Non-credit ESL classes are offered during quarterly at various locations throughout the metropolitan Omaha area. Additionally, classes are offered at the Fremont Area Center. To enroll at that location, please call 402-721-2507.
Prospective students must be Nebraska residents who are at least 18 years of age in order to enroll.
New students must complete the orientation process in order to attend a Non-credit ESL class. The orientation process includes taking the Best Plus Assessment Test and registering for class on the same day.
All students pay an annual registration fee of $25 upon enrollment. This fee is paid by all new and returning students prior to every winter quarter registration.
