Veterans Celebrating Education Week

November 7-11, 2011, South Omaha Campus

Approximately 500 attended this week long series of events.  MCC students, faculty, staff, and community members engaged with military servicemembers and military-related issues, including:

  • The role of the military in disaster relief
  • Military jobs/training and their connection to community college classes
  • The use of military vehicles and equipment
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries
  • Services and supports available to servicemembers
