Upcoming changes to the MCC student discount software program
Through Monday, March 26, 2012, MCC students will still be able to purchase greatly discounted Microsoft products including Office 2010. Microsoft is discontinuing this discount program and will start selling Office University (the equivalent of Office Pro Plus) for $99.95. This product should be available on the website by April 1, 2012.

If you haven't seen the new Academic Support Commons at the Elkhorn Valley Campus, then now is your chance. The ASC includes the services of the Academic Resource Center, Library, Writing Center and Math Center all in one new and convenient location.

Heart of Metro nominations now open
Students are invited to nominate an Metropolitan Community College employee for the Heart of Metro Award.
- Employees may be full- or part-time
- Employees must have completed one year of employment or three quarters of teaching
- Employees are eligible for the award every three years
- Employee must meet the following criteria addressed in the nomination:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude
- Lead change
- Foster an inclusive workplace
- Work smart
- Respect diversity
- Be service centered

Call for actors, directors and technical staff
The Great Plains Theatre Conference, presented by Metropolitan Community College, has opened a call for area actors, technical staff and directors who would like to participate in this year's 7th Annual Great Plains Theatre Conference, May 26-June 2. There are 30 PlayLabs and five MainStage readings to cast, as well as five PlayFest plays.
More than 250 artists will be used during the week of the conference. This is a unique opportunity to meet and work with top playwrights, directors, actors and theatre professionals from around the country.

Spring graduation application deadline: April 1
If you plan to graduate after Spring quarter (March 8-May 23), you need to apply to graduate by Sunday, April 1. Application are available online.
