Project Bridge is sponsored by Metropolitan Community College and the United Way of the Midlands to support the initiative aimed at providing career counseling and training programs for internationally trained healthcare workers in the region who often are not working in healthcare or are underemployed in the healthcare arena. Project Bridge is designed to move participants through the program and into the workforce much quicker than the traditional pathways currently offered.

Project Bridge was created to not only help internationally trained healthcare workers acquire licensure in the United States but also to address the need to provide linguistically and culturally competent healthcare in underserved communities.
