NOVA Treatment Community
3483 Larimore Ave.
Omaha, NE 68111
Phone: (402) 455-8303
Hours: Always Open
Website: www.novatc.org
Contact: Executive Director Eleanor Devlin edelvin@novatc.org
Intake: admissions@novatc.org
Services: Alcohol/Drug Programs, Mental Health, Youth Programs
Qualifications: A substance abuse evaluation would assist you in determining the level of care you need. NOVA TC provides outpatient, Level I, services for adolescents and adults, intensive outpatient, Level II, services for adults, and residential, Level III, services for adults and adolescents, age 13 to 18.
What to Expect: NOVA TC utilizes the Transactional Analysis as the therapeutic basis for the services we provide. As such, all of the individuals entering our program, with the exception of Level I outpatient program, would be involved in a variety of different group sessions, to help assist the person in the rehabilitative process. In addition, the residential programs are highly structured to reflect the activities of a typical work week and weekend day, and attempt to create a microcosm of the overall society inside of the safety of the treatment program.
Steps/Joining Process: A prospective program member will need to contact admissions: (402) 455-8347, or simply fax over a substance abuse evaluation to: (402) 455-7050, with their contact information, and an intake person will contact the individual when the substance abuse evaluation has been reviewed. At this point, if a waitlist exists, the individual would go on a waitlist, and would be contacted when his or her turn comes up. If there is no waitlist for the particular program, an intake would be scheduled.
Availability: There is always availability in the outpatient, and IOP programs. The residential program for the adolescents has 30 beds, and does have some openings most of the time. The residential program for the adult program members has 24 beds. There is always a waitlist for males in this program, and most of the time, for females as well. It is a long-term residential program, so the wait is reflective on the length of the program.
Additional Details: A desire to discontinue the use of mood altering substance is all that is necessary for admission to the programs at NOVA. The only additional requirement for admission would be funding, which would be different for each program. The residential programs at NOVA TC operate on a sliding fee scale, so the cost would be based on the person’s income. The outpatient programs are not sliding fee scale services. The cost for the outpatient sessions is $88 a session, IOP is $270 a week, and substance abuse evaluations are $190.
