The Metropolitan Community College Foundation's scholarship application system is available during the application availability dates listed below. Students may manage their own information, apply for multiple scholarships and check award status from any computer.
Before starting your Stars Online profile and applying for scholarship read through the following.
In Stars Online students will need to:
- Supply a user name and a MCC student ID number (this is NOT your social security number)
- Submit electronic documents in pdf format. Failure to upload the required documentation will result in disqualification. Directions for creating a PDF is located in the Stars Online FAQ.
- New students - electronic copies of either GED scores or a high school transcript.
- Current/Returning students - PDF copies of your Unofficial Transcript. You will find this report in MyServices.
- Complete short-answer essays.
- Be in good academic standing at MCC.
- Students who apply for scholarships for which they are not eligible will be disqualified from all scholarship applications.
- Some scholarships require students to show financial need, this is based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students will give permission for the MCCF staff to review their FAFSA results that are on file in the Financial Aid office.
- Fill out the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Consult the financial aid office at your campus for more information.
- For detailed instructions on how to create a pdf, upload your documents and how to apply for scholarships download the Stars Online FAQ.
- If you are awarded a scholarship, your thank you letter to the donor will be required to be on file at the MCC Foundation office prior to your award being put on your student account.
