Metropolitan Community College's Online IT (Information Technology) Programs are Career Academies designed to provide opportunities to explore the IT career field prior to high school graduation so students can make more informed career choices.
All MCC's online courses are delivered via ANGEL, a Learning Management System. Everything you need to know to get started with your ANGEL delivered courses is available here.

Please note the Core Courses for IT Associate's Degree are not mandatory prerequisites to enroll in the underlined programs. Core Courses are for anyone interested in an IT degree. Above is a example of what two years of classes would look like. Remember, Core Courses are offered quarterly, so you do not have to wait until fall 2010 to start.

- Must be a Nebraska resident high school junior or senior
- Meet any course prerequisite
- Get a registration form from a high school counselor or print form (see registration form links below)
- Complete the form
- Forms can be returned in any of three ways:

Core Courses for IT Associate's Degree
- Register for classes before first day of quarter (No late registration for online courses).
- Pay half price tuition - click here for the tuition calculator
- Complete the online ANGEL tutorial
- Stay current with online tasks
- Contact the instructor on course syllabus when necessary
- Give grade report to school official
Students are responsible for books. Online books can be purchased at the South Campus bookstore or online.
Click here for bookstore information/phone numbers or to order books online. Books must be ordered 14 days before the quarter starts. Please follow the directions below while searching for a book.
- Go to the online book store by clicking here
- Choose Nebraska in the state box
- Choose Metropolitan Community College in the institution box
- For campus choose south Omaha Campus
- Click submit
- On the next screen click on Textbooks and Course Materials in the top left corner
- Choose the appropriate program, term, and course for your class
For online courses, you must choose South Omaha Campus while searching for a book. Although you may not be taking a class at the SOC, this is where the online books are sold. By choosing the SOC option, your class book will be accessible.
