What's Happening

At Metropolitan Community College the Service-Learning Office not only provides service opportunities within the classroom environment but we also organizes service projects outside of the classroom such as: Graffiti clean-ups in South Omaha, activities for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, Spooktober fall festival for students with disabilities and a career closet that provides appropriate interview and work clothing to students seeking jobs.

In addition, the Metropolitan Community College Service-Learning Office is responsible for planning and executing college and community annual events like the Preschool Health and Safety Fair, which provides a fun environment to teach preschoolers safe and healthy habits; the Elder Fair, which creates a forum for diverse resources in Senior health and living for adults over the age of fifty and their caregivers; and the MCC Student Leadership Conference which invites students to learn from local leaders how to survive college, be involved with the community and be successful in the working world.
