The Solar Seminars currently offered focus on mounting solar hot water collectors, setting up a solar storage tank and distributing the heat through radiant tubing.
Seminars include one evening class lecture to review the installation process followed by a one-day installation training. The first seminar will provide students with the experience of handling and connecting collectors.
The second seminar will install the solar storage tank. Students will be connecting the tank, filling the system and starting the solar array.
The third seminar will install the radiant tubing for distributing heat.
Each seminar is 1.5 credit hours and counts towards a degree or certificate at MCC.
