2013 Student Advisory Council (SAC) Election
Timeline and Procedures

October 4


Enrolled students will receive an announcement in My Way about the election and will be provided candidate registration information.

SAC member responsibilities, including candidate requirements, and candidate registration procedures, will be outlined on the Student Advisory Council web page and the Student Advisory Council's My Way site.

A Student Ex Officio to the Board of Governors (BOG) will be elected from the College-wide Student Advisory Council membership at their first meeting on November 15, 2013. The successful candidate will attend their first Board of Governors meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.


Oct 23rd

Candidate registrations due by 5:00 p.m. Registration forms need to arrive at the office of Campuses/Student Affairs which is located on the Fort Omaha Campus Bldg. #30 Suite 214.

October 25th

Campaigning begins.

An announcement with voting procedures will be sent to enrolled students.

Voting procedures will be posted on the Student Advisory Council Site at: https://myway.mccneb.edu/StudentServices/Student-organizations-and-clubs/SAC/Pages/default.aspx site.

Verification of registrations, candidate pictures, and biographies are posted on the Student Advisory Council Site.

Tuesday, November 5 & 6

Elections for College-wide Student Advisory Council begins Nov. 5th at 8 a.m. and end on November 6th. Voting is done via the Voting Booth site.


November 8

Election results are posted in the Student Advisory Council Site.

Candidates must remove campaign materials by 10 p.m.

Grievances must be filed by 10 p.m. with Vice President for Campuses and Student Affairs .

First College-wide 2013/14 Student Advisory Council will meet to elect the Student Ex Officio, at 3:00 pm at FOC 30, room 210.


December 17

Student Ex Officio attends Board of Governor's (BOG) meeting.
