Kitty Felde

Kitty Felde is an award winning playwright, with eight plays and a produced television script to her credit. Her Bosnian war crimes play A PATCH OF EARTH, which won the Maxim Mazumdar New Play Competition, has just been published in a collection from the University of Wisconsin Press called “The Theatre of Genocide: Four Plays about Mass Murder in Rwanda, Bosnia, Cambodia, and Armenia.” That play has been produced in Buffalo, Pretoria, and has been broadcast on Orange County’s public television station KOCE as part of its “Storefront Theatre” series. Among her other plays, her one-woman show about Teddy Roosevelt’s daughter ALICE premiered at The National Theatre in Washington, D.C. and played at New York City’s Miranda Theatre. Her newest play “journalist of the year” premiered at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood in a production by the Towne Theatre Company this past winter. Felde is a member of the Dramatists Guild. She spends her days as an award-winning public radio journalist.
