Mark Manhart

Mark Manhart

Mark Manhart started in theatre in the 1970s as the villian. Then worked with the Norton Theatre where he credits much of his theatrical experience to Rudyard Norton. Mark founded Kingsmark II, was president of Omaha Montessori Society, the Omaha Academy Ballet, Nebraska Writers Guild and Friends of the Library, and co-founded the Grande Olde Players with Bonnie Gill. Acting was always his passion until he started to direct, and now writing beats them both. He enjoyed taking Lew Hunter’s screen writing camp in Superior several years ago and feels it helped his stage writing as well. His scripts were chosen to be read at the Great Plains Theatre Conference the past three years: 54 H, Pickwick’s Dilemma and last year Bootstrappers Christmas. This past year Mark directed Love Sex and the IRS for the Chanticleer and looks forward to more work in Omaha community theatre. He is still in dental practice after 47 years.
