Ron WestRon West

Ron West has taught at Metro for more than 5 years. He holds a Bachelors degree in English, a Masters in Directing, and a PhD in Theatre History, Theory, and Criticism. He has taught Introduction to Theatre, Theatre History, Basic Acting, and Script Analysis, as well as Writing and Speech courses at several universities. In addition to working with Judith Malina and The Living Theatre, John Houseman’s Acting Company, and the National Theatre for the Deaf, he has organized national auditions for the Mid America Theatre Conference. His writing has appeared in New England Theatre Journal, Theatre Studies, and Theatre Survey; he has served on the advisory board for Oscar Brockett’s The Theatre: An Introduction, and he is a member of the Review Board for the Oswald Review, the only international journal of undergraduate research and writing in English literature and drama.
