Roxanne Wach
Roxanne Wach directed and adapted Nine for the first Great Plains Theatre Conference and directed
short play labs for the second conference. A multifaceted artist, Wach has performed on many Omaha
stages over the past 35 years, including Omaha Community Playhouse, Opera Omaha, Omaha
Symphony and SNAP! Productions. She has directed and designed many productions, including
favorites A Perfect Ganesh, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, She Loves Me, Quilters, Free to Be You &
Me, Vagina Monologues and an original staged version of Bach´s Cantata No. 82. Her most recent
writing includes The Purple Pomegranate, her second original musical for young adults with composer
Jay Atwood. A long-time Omaha Theatre Arts Guild (TAG) member and past-president, Wach
has been the recipient of several TAG Awards including Outstanding Comedy/Drama Production,
Outstanding Cabaret/Special Event Production, Outstanding Director of a Musical, Outstanding
New Script and Outstanding Supporting Actress/Musical. She was honored with the Master Teacher
Alumni Award from Midland Lutheran College for her work in theatre, as well as recipient of Bob
Roberts TAG Board Recognition Award and Norm & Louise Filbert TAG Lifetime Achievement
Award. She is a member of International Centre for Women Playwrights and Nebraska Women’s
Caucus for Art. In addition, Wach is a licensed massage therapist and a visual artist. |
