Scott KurzScott Kurz

Mr. Kurz has been with Brigit Saint Brigit since its first season 16 years ago. An overview of his own favorite roles at Brigit include Christy Mahon in Synge's The Playboy of the Western World; Stanley Kowalski in Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire; Brick in Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; Val in Williams’ Orpheus Descending; Iago in Othello, the title roles in Hamlet and Macbeth; multiple roles in The Compleat WKS of WMSHKSPR (abridged); Skinner in Friel's The Freedom of The City; Cripple Billy in McDonagh's Cripple of lnishmaan; John in Conor McPherson's Shining City; Johnny Pope in A Hatful of Rain; and Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple. Last year he also appeared as John Proctor in The Crucible at The Omaha Community Playhouse. Mr. Kurz is also an accomplished director, whose credits include Miller's A View from The Bridge; Williams' The Glass Menagerie; Serling's Requiem for A Heavyweight; Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf; Henley's Crimes of The Heart; Goldman's The Lion in Winter; Henry IV, Part 1; His Girl Friday and Dracula (the last two for which he wrote original adaptations for the stage), and most recently, Shanley's Doubt: A Parable. Eight years ago, Mr. Kurz became a paid company/staff member, taking on the title of Scenic and Lighting Designer/Technical Director. In 2007, he became Brigit's Executive Director.
