Sonia Keffer
Sonia Keffer is an Omaha-based actress, teacher and director. A part of the theatrical community in
Omaha for more than 15 years, she received her B.F.A. in Theatre from Creighton University and her
M.A. in Theatre at the University of Nebraska–Omaha. Besides working with both of the university
theatres, Keffer has had the privilege of being associated with many of the community’s finest theatres,
most recently working with the BlueBarn Theatre, Living Picture Project, Sixteen Casters Productions
and the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival. In 2007 she co-curated a series of live art pieces entitled East of
72nd: Disrupting the Omaha Landscape in Six Acts with her husband and artist/curator Doug Hayko as a
part of the bemisUNDERGROUND season. In addition to her theatrical pursuits, Keffer owns her own
business working as a consultant and trainer. She keeps her theatrical child-like spirit alive by spending
quality time with her husband and their three wonderful daughters Madeline, Joselyn and Sophia. |
