Benjamin Graber at sixty-four is appearing as a playwright. In past performances he has been a hippie doctor, a sex doctor, a psychiatrist, and a neurobiologist. As a playwright he has had a ten-minute play, End of Limerence, produced three times; a co-authored one-act play, Snipped, produced twice, and another ten-minute play, The Hippie and The Guru produced once. His ten-minute play The Banana Republic was recently read at the CCHA conference in Omaha. This will be his third GPTC reading: 2007 Party Favor and 2008 Wedding Party. He is currently in the Masters Program in the Theatre Department at UNO where his Masters Thesis Play, Hippie Doctor will receive a main stage production in Fall 2009. Warpaint, co-authored with Michael Oatman has been selected as a finalist for the John Cauble Short Play award and will be produced at the National Kennedy Center American Theatre Festival in April, 2009 in Washington, DC.
