Laurie Nesmith Laurie NeSmith

Laurie NeSmith started her theatrical career in high school and has sauntered in and out while raising children and moving with her husband’s job. Laurie played Elaine in Arsenic and Old Laceand later directed The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, and Lie, Cheat and Genuflect for the Grande Olde Players. Her most amazing feat was to step into the role of the mother with Dressing Matilda last year after 3 days rehearsal, a very quick study. Her day job is with Healthways, Inc. where she manages the Wellness Center for Mutual of Omaha. When she isn’t working or doing theater, she’s traveling to be with her daughter in Ireland or recently caught her daughter’s opening as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz—guess it runs in the family.
