Rob Baker

Rob has spent 30 years in the entertainment industry as a writer, actor, producer and director. He returns to the Great Plains Theatre Conference as an actor this year, after stepping down from his position as the G.P.T.C. Play-Lab Chair. In past years he has been on staff with the Circle Theatre, The Emmy Gifford Children’s Theatre, and the Omaha Community Playhouse teaching staff. Rob held the position of Artistic Director for both the Shelterbelt and the Firehouse Dinner Theatre. He has acted in over 150 local stage productions. Winning awards for playing Groucho Marx in A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine, Uncle Louis in Lost In Yonkers, Col. Pickering in My Fair Lady, Senex in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Eddy Flagrante in Zombie Prom.
