Carrie Louise Nutt

Carrie Louise Nutt’s 10-minute play The Lamb was produced off-Broadway at 59E59 and The Blue Heron Theatre and was a finalist for the Heidemen Award. She wrote the book for Green, a short opera composed by Max Duykers, produced at La Mama. Her ten-minute plays Wrong Number and Kid Sister were produced in Manhattan Theatre Source’s Estrogenius Festival. Two monologues from her full-length play Dust are published in the 2007 Applause Books: Monologues for Men. She has interned at Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Empty Space and New Dramatists. Carrie is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, The Playwrights Center and a grad student at Rutgers University studying Playwriting with Lee Blessing, where her one-acts The Cave and When Gods Walk the Earth were produced, and in Spring 2009 her full-length Hard Heart.

 

When Gods Walk the Earth

Another body was found in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and police are hesitant to call it the work of a serial killer, but the city is in an uproar. Nobody knows who is murdering young white men. Meanwhile, Pam has fled from Ricky, her abusive boyfriend, and is boozing it up with her friends. The evening takes an unexpected turn when Ricky shows up to take Pam home.
