Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal

Three high school seniors (friends since birth) are looking forward to graduation, college, and the world beyond their small Kansas town. Two weeks before graduation, one of the three reveals that she is pregnant. The other two girls attempt to help her sort out her future while sorting out their own futures and their feelings for each other along the way. They bicker, they tease, and they humiliate one another, but in the end they realize that their friendship is the only certainty in the uncertain world they are about to enter. This play could happen to any three girls in any town in the world. It is about the bond of friendship, the naiveté of young life, and the decisions that so many young girls have to face before they are truly ready.
