Matt Fotis is an award winning playwright whose plays have seen stages from coast to coast. His plays have won The Sonoma County Repertory Theatre’s SCRipts Festival and received a Donna Award at the Pittsburgh New Works Festival. His work has been a finalist for numerous other awards including the Guthrie Theatre Fringe Encore, Emerging Theatre Artists EATfest(NYC) and Robert J. Pickering Award for Playwriting Excellence. His plays have been produced by Ten Grand Productions (NYC), Theatre on the Square, The Summer Company, The Minnesota and Indianapolis Fringe Festivals, Shantz Theatre, The Bryant Lake Bowl Theatre, Anvilhead Theatre, The Pegasus Theater Co., Gorilla Tango Theatre, and The Chameleon Theatre Circle.

Burying Mom

Paul Morgan's mother passed away on 9/ falling down the basement stairs. Now six years later he still hasn't put his mom to rest. Paul's journey takes him across time and space where he meets a bevy of women that put his relationships in perspective, and help Paul finally bury his past.

-The play has been produced by the Minnesota and Indianapolis Fringe Festivals, where Nuvo called the play 'Brilliant.'
