Marty SkomalMarty Skomal

Marty Skomal is Director of Programs at the Nebraska Arts Council where he supervises all organizational grant programs including arts education, multicultural arts and arts touring. He has served as a conference presenter and panelist for numerous state arts agencies, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is also a former NEA Fellowship recipient in the Arts Administration Fellows Program. Marty has also directed the theatre program at the Omaha Jewish Community Center, acted with the Nebraska Theatre Caravan and served as production manager at Chanticleer Theatre in Iowa. In addition to degrees in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska and Theatre Arts from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, he has also studied children’s theatre and British literature at Trinity College in Carmarthen, Wales, U.K. He is also active as an arts program evaluator and consultant.
