Elizabeth Ellison ELIZABETH ELLISON
I am a playwright, screenwriter, fiction writer, and actor currently pursuing an M.F.A. in the dramatic writing program at Carnegie Mellon University. Earlier this year my play The Minute Hand received a staged reading after winning the Eleanor Frost play contest. My other awards include the Alexander Laing Screenwriting Award for my screenplay Yellow Line and the Grimes Prize for fiction. I completed my first novel, Thin Water, this spring. Originally from Massachusetts, I graduated from Dartmouth College in June 2009 with a B.A. in theater and English with honors.

The Minute Hand

One day Lydia's husband, Keith, vanishes without a trace. The people in her life decide she must come to terms with her loss and move forward, but a year after his disappearance she is living in a strange imaginary world in which Keith has never been gone. As she faces the possibility of a new life and love, Lydia's efforts to keep Keith with her become more and more desperate. Estimated run time: 60 minutes.
