Audra Lord is a playwright and actor from Detroit, Michigan. Speed Dating! was critically received as a “festival highlight” (www.encoremichigan.com) at BoxFest Detroit 2009. Audra’s work has been produced throughout the Detroit area; in addition, her first play, Group, received several productions in New Jersey. She is a regular contributor to Monologue Mania, an ongoing staged reading event in Bloomfield, NJ, and she currently facilitates a reading group called “Eclectic Commotion,” which promotes the development of emerging Detroit-area playwrights.
