Linda Evans has an MFA in filmmaking; director, composer, playwright, screenwriter. Evans’ drama, Embrace Arms, developed, Playwright-in-Residence, summer, at Ensemble Studio Theater, NY, NY (Curt Dempster): James Sherman Award for excellence in playwriting from Timber Lake Playhouse; won Playfair 2009 for NW Ohio; special commendation from the Open Book, NY, NY; produced, Encore Civic Theater in Ohio; play currently taught at the Ohio State University, Theater Honors program. Evans’ comedy, Sticky Girls; equity production, Workshop Theater, NY, NY (2006); (Patricia Watt, producer, ”Love, Janis” & Watt & Fred Astaire Awards). Evans’ screenplay, Tucson Success Story, was in upper 10% of over 600 entries the Nicholl Fellowship and Chesterfield (Peregrine Whittlesey, NY, NY, agent). Embrace Arms

A daughter takes a chance to confront her father to make a better future in Embrace Arms. All seems right when Eaton Tate, a philosophy assistant professor from California at UCLA appears at a mid-Western hospital, Indiana University, to donate a kidney to her father, Sergent Blake Tate. But what is AJ, his brother, doing there? Whitney Gomez, transplant coordinator, leads a family through confrontation and restoration during 10 days in Indiana.
