Anne Byrd is a faculty member in the Department of Theatre at Normandale Community College
(NCC) in Bloomington, Minnesota. At NCC, she teaches performance classes and directs for the
main stage. Byrd is also a professional actress and director having appeared in or directed plays
primarily in Chicago and Minneapolis. Most recently, she performed (on crutches with a broken
foot) in the role of Eleanor in The Lion in Winter. Byrd serves currently as vice chair and chair-elect of
Region V for the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF).
