Arika Beals

Arika Beals Arika Beals received her B.A. in Drama from the University of Nebraska–Omaha in 1999, and her M.A. in Drama from the University of Montana–Missoula in 2003. She has written several plays for children and worked extensively in the performance art medium. Her play A Woman Cloaked with the Sun was produced at the University of Montana in 2003. This piece explored the life and influence of Joanna Southcott, an English millennialist in the 19th century using a variety of media. Pocket Nietzsche is Beal´s second play to be read at the Great Plains Theatre Conference.
