Barry Carman

Barry Carman Barry Carman is a founding member of BlueBarn´s Witching Hour ensemble where he has collaborated as a writer and/or performer on the original works juliepsychosis, WYZK: radio/trauma, Mad World, The Outlaw Project, Hysterical Blindness, Apocrypha and Short Fictions and Maledictions. He recently had the pleasure of appearing as Franz Kafka in the Rough Magic Productions show K. He has also appeared in the BlueBarn Theatre´s main stage shows Six Degrees of Separation, Vieux Carré and Edward II. Carman has served as dramaturg at the BlueBarn Theatre for Six Degrees of Separation, The Pillowman, The Dresser and Arcadia. He also co-authored the play Curiosity/Wolf Prattle for the Shelterbelt Theatre´s Instant Theatre Festival. His directing credits include Apocrypha with BlueBarn´s Witching Hour and An Evening of Samuel Beckett Short Plays in collaboration with Analog-Arts-Ensemble. Carman is very nearly a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta where his favorite things were The Tempest, American Wake, Woyzeck, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and training with the Saratoga International Theatre Institute (SITI) company.
